Instant Orthodontics Questions
San Antonio, Texas
What is "Instant Orthodontics"?
"Instant Orthodontics" is the use of porcelain veneers, crowns or bonding to adjust positioning of teeth, instead of using traditional braces. It offers much faster results. Even those who have worn braces for the prescribed one to three years often desire further improvement. Instant Orthodontics gives teeth an even, straight line, which makes them look more beautiful. By giving the teeth a new front surface, it can change their color, size and shape to give you an entire smile makeover!
How long does it take?
If you are expecting a lengthy period of time to have a brilliant smile, you're in for a very pleasant surprise. One visit will be enough to have bonding done. If you have crowns or veneers, it takes two visits.
Is everyone a candidate for Instant Orthodontics?
Unfortunately, no. Serious malocclusions (misaligned bites) may preclude the use of Instant Orthodontics. Some people may have problems that, if Instant Orthodontics were attempted, would require too much of the tooth structure being removed for veneers to fit appropriately.
Besides not having to wait on traditional orthodontics, what makes Instant Orthodontics so appealing?
Advanced adhesive technology has made it possible to bond porcelain veneers to our teeth with permanence. This strength has allowed dentists to do more with bonded porcelain than was ever thought possible in the past.
What should I look for in a dentist who performs Instant Orthodontics?
Look for an LVI-trained dentist. Traditional dental school gives a basic dental education, but a cosmetic dentist like Dr. Hale has post-graduate education as well. Dr. Hale is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Training (LVI), where dentists come from all over the world for their graduate education. He is also a clinical instructor there. So he has both the scientific dental training, and the hands-on training to give you excellent cosmetic results.
By all means, look at Before-and-After pictures of previous patients, and any dentist you are considering should give you full, understandable answers to your questions.
Besides his extensive LVI education, Dr. Hale has an artistic sense when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. He customizes each procedure to the person he is giving it to. Please feel free to contact us whenever you are ready, and we can set up a free consultation for you. Our San Antonio, Texas office is comfortable and welcoming.
