Lumineers® Questions

San Antonio, Texas

No-Shot Veneers San AntonioWhat are Lumineers®?
Lumineers® are a new form of porcelain veneers created by Cerinate that can provide you with the same beautiful smile that other porcelain veneers can, but require no removal of existing tooth structure. Lumineers® are less than half a millimeter thin and are very translucent, allowing you to achieve a near perfect smile.

How is the Lumineers procedure different?
When placing traditional porcelain veneers, a portion of the front tooth surface is removed to create space for the porcelain veneers. When placing Lumineers, almost no enamel removal is required because the Lumineer is so thin.

Are Lumineers permanent?
Not necessarily. Lumineers can be removed in the future if you decide you no longer want them. This is because the teeth are still intact. Testing has shown that Lumineers® continue to provide the same beautiful looking smiles more than 20 years after originally being placed. In addition to this, if there are problems with your Lumineers, Cerinate provides a 5-year warranty on them.

How much will my Lumineers cost?
Since each person’s smile and needs are different, it is difficult to say exactly how much your Lumineer procedure will cost. Fortunately, no matter how many Lumineers you are receiving, we provide various forms of affordable financing so that your new smile can fit within your budget.

How long will it take to receive my Lumineers?
You will first have an initial consultation with Dr. Hale. He will listen to what you want to accomplish with Lumineers and determine if they are the best way to do it. Sometimes there are other possible options like dental bonding or tooth whitening.

If you decide to go ahead with Lumineers we will take photographs and an impression of your teeth so that your new smile can be designed. Since no tooth structure needs to be removed, you will not have to wear temporary veneers while your Lumineers are being created. There will be a second visit so Dr. Hale can attach your Lumineers and make sure your bite is correct and you feel comfortable with them.

If you want a beautiful new smile with Lumineers, the first step is scheduling an initial consultation. Please contact our cosmetic dentistry office today so that we can help you achieve the smile you have always wanted.
